The City Manager's Department implements the policies of the City Council and complies with the provisions of the City Charter and Code of Ordinances. The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City, appointed by the City Council and serving at their pleasure. The City Manager is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council on policy and service matters; for implementing and administering those policies, programs and ordinances adopted by the City Council; and for promoting high standards of ethics, professionalism, integrity and responsiveness throughout the City organization.
