The City Manager is the chief administrator of the City, appointed by the City Council. The City Manager is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council on policy and service matters; for implementing and administering those policies, programs and ordinances adopted by the Mayor and City Council: and for promoting high standards of ethics, professionalism, integrity and responsiveness throughout the City organization.

Tony Nowicki is the City Manager and was appointed by the City Council to the position effective November 19, 2012. Tony, formerly Wixom’s Assistant City Manager, has been involved in all facets of Wixom government since 2002. Tony assisted in bringing new businesses to Wixom, has undertaken initiatives related to the Village Center Area, the redevelopment of the Ford-Wixom Assembly Plant site, and forming interagency partnerships.
